Whale Watching in Flinders Bay
June to August
FLINDERS BAY, AUGUSTA
Whale Watching in Flinders Bay: June – August
Steeped in maritime history Flinders Bay in Augusta is the first port of call and marine sanctuary for thousands of migrating whales during their northern journey. As the cold winter approaches and the waters of the Antarctica begin to freeze over, the whales commence their annual migration to mate and give birth to calves in the warm waters and sheltered bays of the north. Both the Humpback and Southern Right whales are frequent visitors to Flinders Bay, it is one of the few places you will see these astounding creatures interacting together.
Whale Watching WA, Naturaliste Charters, Legend Charters, All Sea Charters conduct 2 hour whale watching cruises daily weather permitting, during the three month Flinders Bay whale watching season.
